Isaiah 55:8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. Vs 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
We talked about this in Sunday school. We know it. But sometimes we forget it. We compared who God is, infinite, to an ocean that we cannot swim across or to the bottom of. We can only think so much about Him. Like we can contain only a swimming pool size understanding of Him. And that He is gracious to us, knowing we can only contain so much.
But where we fall into trouble is when we start understanding a swimming pool amount of Him, we begin restricting His size in our mind to something finite rather than to something infinite. Though we can contain only so much, we must never forget that He is so much more.
